How much would WebP save on your page?

Paste a URL. We weigh every image the page loads and convert each one to WebP to show the real saving, image by image.

We download the page and up to 15 of its biggest images, and encode each to WebP to measure the real saving. Nothing is kept. Takes 5 to 30 seconds.

About the audit

We download each image the page uses (img, srcset, picture, preload and CSS backgrounds), then encode it to WebP at quality 80 with a maximum width of 2000 px, the settings that look identical to the original for most photos. The saving is the real difference in bytes, not an estimate from a table.

The audit shows exactly which images trigger it and how many kilobytes they cost. Convert them (in the browser converter, with Claude or ChatGPT, or with the API), replace the files, and the warning goes away for those images.

No. The page and its images are downloaded to measure them and discarded right away. We keep the domain and the totals for our statistics, nothing else.

Images loaded later by JavaScript (lazy-loading libraries, sliders, single-page apps) are not in the page's HTML, so the audit cannot see them. Tiny icons and tracking pixels are skipped on purpose.
