Real Estate Listing Photos to WebP

A listing with 36 photos at 400 KB each is 14 MB. The same set as WebP at 1600 px / 78% is often 3–5 MB total. That is the difference between a swipe-through and a bounce.

MLS originals are not web originals

Photographers deliver wide JPEGs for print flyers and portals. Your website should store a web derivative. Convert every new shoot before it hits the CMS.

  • Searchers are on LTE in a driveway.
  • Map + gallery pages stack images.
  • IDX iframes will not save you if *your* template is heavy.
