Two outputs from one design
Export from Canva/Figma once at a high-quality PNG or JPEG. Upload that to Instagram. Convert a copy to WebP 1080–1600 px for the website.
Why it matters
- Link-in-bio pages are real websites with LCP.
- Republished Instagram grids on a site are often uncompressed dumps.
- You do not control Meta's encoder; you do control yours.
How to do it
- Keep a
social-mastersfolder. - Convert website copies at 1080–1600 px / 80%.
- Do not replace the file you upload to Instagram with WebP unless the app accepts it (it usually wants JPEG).
Settings that work
Feed 1080 px. Stories 1080×1920 — convert if they appear on the web; for the app, follow the network.
