HubSpot CMS: WebP Images for Landing Pages and Blogs

HubSpot landing pages are often paid-traffic destinations. A 1.5 MB hero wastes ad spend. Convert heroes and module images to WebP at 1600–1920 px and you typically save more time than any HubSpot 'performance' toggle.

Files vs modules

Images live in the file manager and are referenced by modules. Replacing the file with a same-name WebP (or updating the module) is enough. You do not need a HubSpot marketplace optimiser.

Why it matters

  • Paid landing pages have a direct cost per extra second.
  • Blog listing templates repeat feature images.
  • Email modules sometimes reuse the same oversized file.

How to do it

  1. Export the campaign image folder from brand or file manager.
  2. Convert: heroes 1920 px / 75–80%, cards 800 px / 80%.
  3. Replace files and republish the landing page. Re-test Lighthouse.

Settings that work

Keep one master brand PNG offline. Ship WebP only in HubSpot.
