Lightroom Export → WebP for Web Galleries

Lightroom's web JPEG export is a 2012 workflow. Export long-edge 2000–2500 JPEG quality 80–90, then convert the folder to WebP at 80–86%. You keep Lightroom's colour, and the site gets a modern file.

Do not fight the exporter

Use Lightroom for crop, colour and watermark. Use this converter for the last encode. One quality slider for the whole shoot.

Why it matters

  • Publish services upload oversized JPEGs.
  • Client galleries on your domain should be fast.
  • You can convert without another Adobe plugin.

How to do it

  1. Export JPEG, sRGB, long edge 2200, quality 85.
  2. Drop the folder here; WebP quality 82–86, max 2000 px.
  3. Upload the ZIP contents to Squarespace, Pixieset's web, or your CMS.

If you already export 2000 px, you can leave max width at 2000 and only change format.
